A Talk by Alison Mees

Meeting House – Wednesday 19th March 2024: We were treated to an enthralling talk from Alison Mees ARPS CPAGB.

Alison has spent nearly 15 years in Africa, working with safaris, conservation projects and teaching – and photographing the wildlife, landscapes and people. She brought to life her talk with great storytelling, fantastic photography and her wealth of experience.

From migrating wildebeest, cheetah families to lion cubs at play – her talk went way beyond a simple “slide show” giving us a deep insight into life in the reserves of the Mara, Serengeti and others across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

As qualified drive guide, Alison runs safaris, photographic workshops and travel to these areas, plus India and Spain. To read more about her story – go to her website. Alison supports and volunteers for the Cheetah Conservation Fund - https://cheetah.org/uk/
